Onafhankelijk onderzoek aan de Universiteit van Loughborough beoordeelde hoe verschillende wetsuitontwerpen de zwemprestaties beïnvloeden. In een casestudy van drie atleten - beginner, gevorderd en vergevorderd - toonde de Agile meetbare verbeteringen in snelheid en efficiëntie bij dezelfde waargenomen inspanning.

Interpretation:

Agile Wetsuit

met een combinatie van drijfvermogenpanelen van twee, drie en vier millimeter, zorgt de Agile ervoor dat je lichaam gestroomlijnd in het water blijft, wat vermoeidheid vermindert en je helpt je techniek en snelheid te verbeteren.
Gecombineerd met een sterk rekbaar schouderpaneel voor meer flexibiliteit, verbetert de Agile de vorm verder door de weerstand aanzienlijk te verminderen en je potentiële bereik bij elke armslag te vergroten.
Milieuvriendelijk neopreen, gemaakt van kalksteen en afgedankte rubberbanden, vermindert het energieverbruik en de CO2-uitstoot met 200g per pak. Het merendeel van het productieafval van neopreen wordt gerecycled terug in de pakken, wat helpt om stortplaatsafval te minimaliseren en de omgeving waarin we trainen te beschermen.
Het Agile-wetsuit biedt verschillende kenmerken die andere instapmodel wetsuits in dit prijssegment niet bieden.
1. Geen flatlock-stiksels. De naden zijn volledig gelijmd en blind gestikt om volledige waterdichtheid, flexibiliteit en geen inwendig ongemak te garanderen.
2. Geen nylon neopreenpanelen. De Agile is gemaakt van een mix van Speedflo- en Smoothskin-coatings om ervoor te zorgen dat water het pak niet binnendringt, het gewicht verhoogt of weerstand veroorzaakt.
3. Focus op prestaties. Zoals alle ZONE3-producten, ook al kunnen de materialen en dikte niet vergeleken worden met onze meer elitaire modellen, is de Agile ontworpen voor snelheid en comfort.

"I bought the wetsuit to do my first triathlon (IM70.3). Wetsuit keeps warmth great and provided the right amount of buoyancy. I felt much more comfortable in open water wearing it. Size is comfortable, but not “pro race tight”. I’m 6’3”, 205lbs. The L was too tight to get over the shoulders. XL fits comfortable and is great for me. Could be tighter, but I’m in between sizes."

Technically My Size, Spiritually a Compression Bandage

"Looks a really good product however very much on the small: According to the size guide I was a perfect fit, for a ML but had to return and up size twice to an XL. Getting into the first two wetsuits looked less like open water swimming and more like a middle-aged man being vacuum packed for storage. 179cm/81kg/106cm chest. Ohhhhhhh the wife didn’t stop laughing for a week."

Q&A

I swim front crawl, is this the right type of wetsuit, the agile at £199, I like to be in the water for at least an hour, will this keep me war, for 1 -2 hours ?
All of our triathlon wetsuits are designed to support front crawl, with the exception of the Aspect Breaststroke wetsuit which has different buoyancy levels in the leg panels to accommodate the difference in the stroke. The duration of time you're able to spend in the water with this suit will depend on your own tolerance of water temperatures, so we're unable to advise whether this will keep you warm. Could I use the Women's Agile Wetsuit for surfing? I know it is thinner than surfing wetsuits, but could it still hold the body temperature while surfing?

Hi, I've got a Vanquish size XS which has got to the end of it's life. It fits well but on the size guide I come up as a S. When I bought the Vanquish I came up as a S and initially bought a S which was too big, had to return it and got XS instead. Should I get a S (which is what the size guide says) or a XS? Many thanks. Whilst the sizes within our wetsuit range will be similar, they are not always a direct like for like comparison, and different suit styles and performance levels will fit and feel differently. I am looking at the agile ladies wetsuit. I am 134 lbs, height 5 foot 5.5 inches. Chest 36. I fit into the small/medium and medium sections of the size guide. Which would you suggest? Many thanks
