Buoyancy Shorts dienen drie hoofddoelen:

  • Voor beginnende of gevorderde zwemmers is het belangrijkste obstakel om sneller te zwemmen het gebrek aan core-stabiliteit en de beentrap. Hun armkracht en techniek zijn over het algemeen goed, maar ze hebben een slechte lichaamshouding die veel weerstand en 'dood gewicht' veroorzaakt, waardoor efficiënt zwemmen veel moeilijker wordt.

  • Buoyancy shorts plaatsen de zwemmer in de juiste horizontale en gestroomlijnde positie, wat helpt een 'neuraal patroon' op te bouwen van hoe het moet aanvoelen in het water. Dit stelt de zwemmer ook in staat zich te concentreren op een effectievere beentrap en glijding bij elke slag, zonder dat 'wegzakkende benen'-gevoel. De extra ondersteuning stelt de zwemmer ook in staat zich meer te richten op de armslagtechniek. Wish I'd discovered these sooner!

"My first pair of buoyancy shorts and I’m delighted with them! Have been amazed by how much they have improved my swimming. By providing additional buoyancy, I am able to concentrate on improving my stroke rather than struggle to stay afloat. On one occasion, I did peg them, by the waistband, onto my washing line to dry out and was a bit surprised / disappointed that the material retained the peg marks and didn’t spring back. Won’t be doing that again."
